I taught history - Asian, American, and European at Concord Academy, GreenHills Academy, and Kent Denver School. I am the general partner of Pioneer Investment Co. and own a half interest in 3 office buildings in the Denver area, and I am the general partner of Shannon Management Co. which has working oil and natural gas interests. I travel to Asia 2-3 times a year to scuba dive and write curriculum units.
I have added a new chapter to my life. In June, 2015 I moved from Denver to La Jolla, CA. I am so happy to finally be back in California where flowers bloom in January and the weather is beautiful. I am thoroughly enjoying all the outdoor activities and opportunities of San Diego.

Having to memorize the entire Chinese Revolution and realizing that there was a whole different side to history than the American version. My 9th grade history teacher's husband had died in China, and she told amazing stories. She sparked my interest in Asia, turned me into a historian, and I would love to let her know that.

getting back to Europe and reconnecting with old friends. Seeing Paris in the spring and meeting my son-in-law's grandmother in Monte Carlo. Writing a female version of the quintessential growing up in the 1950's novel.

scuba divie in Asia and underwater photography, Pilates mat and equipment work, garden, run, walk, swim, anything outdoors. I am a certified Body Arts and Sciences International Pilates teacher with my own studio in La Jolla, CA.
